Pre Natal Training
It is an exciting time, but for many women the physical and psychological changes during pregnancy can cause anxiety. Exercise can help keep expectant mothers feeling physically and mentally strong.
Benefits of pre natal training:
- Increases body strength to prepare for a shift in your centre of gravity and growing bump
- Breathing correctly helps maintain pelvic floor function
- Improves mood
- Decreases risk of gestational diabetes
- Improves posture
- Alleviates aches and pains
- Improves sleep quality
Laura will create a bespoke programme for you based on your trimester, your previous exercise experience, current energy levels and any issues (pelvic girdle pain, lower back pain, low blood pressure etc) you might have.
If you have been advised not to exercise during your pregnancy gentle stretches and breath work (linking breath with movement) will also have a positive effect on your mind and body.
Before your session
It is essential that you have your Doctor/ Midwife’s consent before you commence an exercise programme.
If you are breastfeeding try to feed just before the session as you will be more comfortable.
Please fill out the following questionnaire prior to your first session:
